Japan Festival Hamburg

Dear citizens of Hamburg, visitors and all who took part in the Hamburg Japan Festival 2026.

It was once again a wonderful event.

The Japan Festival, as part of the Hamburg Cherry Blossom Festival, has a long tradition and, after years of steady growth, has firmly established itself as a highlight in Hamburg’s event calendar.

Many outstanding performances by a wide variety of artists – large and small – from singing to traditional martial arts, from instrumental music to Japanese delicacies, from tea ceremonies to manga: so much of what Japanese culture has to offer.

We would like to thank all performers, exhibitors, visitors and supporters, and in particular everyone who was instrumental in the preparation and execution of the festival.

We are already looking forward with even greater enthusiasm to being part of the Japan Festival in the coming year.

We are glad you were there.
